The Dangerous Trifecta of Mice, Ticks and Lyme Disease

Thermacell Tick Control Tubes…

a new addition to our arsenal of treatments for keeping ticks at bay! By working with nature, Thermacell kills young ticks early in their lifecycle before they can harm people and pets.

Dozens of poppy seed – size blacklegged tick nymphs could hitch a ride indoors on a single white-footed mouse, then find a blood meal on house mice, other rodents or even household members.

Because ticks can carry Lyme and other serious diseases, they are not only annoying but dangerous. Each year there are over 300,000 cases of Lyme disease reported in the U.S and that number is rising. There are also new types of ticks showing up in places they have never been before. The Asian longhorned ticks.

Not normally found in the Western Hemisphere, these ticks were reported for the first time in the United States in 2017. Asian longhorned ticks have been found on pets, livestock, wildlife, and people. Click here to read the CDC’s concerns about this discovery.

Used in conjunction with our perimeter treatment, your yard is even more protected. Our tick control spray will kill the ticks on the ground that are waiting for a blood meal, and the tick tubes will kill the ticks that have found that meal on mice. This also lessens the chance of mice carrying ticks, getting into your house where they may drop off to seek out you or your pets.
